The costs of studying in Australia depends on the institution and the level of study you choose. There may be additional costs for your course, including course materials and access to institution facilities. The list below gives you an indication of the range of course costs for different types of qualifications. The estimate costs does not include high value courses such as veterinary and medical.

School

Secondary school – A$7,800 to 30,000 a year
Primary and Junior secondary school – A$7,800 to 30,000 a year

Foundation

Foundation Studies – A$9,000 to 14,000 a year
(Such as university entrance, preparatory and bridging courses)

Undergraduate

Bachelor Degree – A$15,000 to 33,000* a year
(Such as courses in arts, business, economics and law)
Laboratory-based Bachelor Degree – A$14,000 to 35,000 a year
(Such as science and engineering courses)

Postgraduate

Graduate Certificates/Graduate Diplomas – A$20,000 to 37,000* a year
Masters/Doctoral Degree -A$20,000 to 36,000* a year

Vocational education and training

Certificates I – IV/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma – A$5,000 to 20,000 a year

English Language Studies

Varies significantly depending on the course duration or institution – around A$300 per week
